Otis Fishing Report UPDATE

Otis Fishing Report UPDATE for September 17, 2023: Man, that “boy” is fast! We *just* got last night’s Fishing Report posted and reported that Otis had left his Office and was headed Down River. We glanced up at River Watch on another screen, and -BAM- there he is already feasting on DOAs!! Otis is in the back along the tall grasses on River Watch here.

As he’s still licking his chops, he walks just a couple of steps and captures this HUGE DOA in the high grasses.

He ambles about, chomps here and there, strikes a studley snacking pose for us (Otis is on the left), and ambles some more.

Then by 7:30 p.m. Katmai time, Otis is off cam again. And then on cam. And then ambling around and behind the grasses. And off cam again. And that’s the last we see of him through midnight Katmai time.

Total fish count for September 17 updated to 2 Fish + 7 DOAs + 2 Scraps. Note that (1) at least two DOAs were *huge*, and (2) we noted 2 as scraps because he simply scooped up salmon bites and kept walking. 🙂 Many thanks to our overnight contributors who ensured we didn’t miss a fish: MammieYocum1, Debi (Bearz), 901fan, and naturegirl!

Until later, sending wishes for fishes and Fat Bear Poster Votes! ♥ Remember to vote for your favorite Fat Bear Poster this week on Explore’s voting page.
