Otis Fishing Not-A-Report

Otis Fishing Not-A-Report for October 17, 2023: Greetings, Fellow Bear Aficionados! We would love to fill this space with sing-song, wiggle-waggle, chitter-chatter, but alas, Otis has not been seen on cams today, and some fun trivia will have to suffice instead of an Otis Fishing Report this night.

For 2023, our last Otis Sighting (as of this writing) was October 15 at 12:09 p.m. Katmai time on Brooks Falls cam. This was immediately following his gentlebear yoga maneuver around 910s Girl Gang. 😉

In 2022, our last Otis Sighting on cams was also October 15. Not gonna lie, my notes are a little sketch, so best I can tell this was around 2:40 p.m. Katmai time in the Lower River. GIF by Blair-55.

And in 2021, our last Otis Sighting on cams was October 24 also on the Lower River cam. It looks like 5:22 p.m. Katmai time.

And if you’re interested in weird Bear Cam Trivia, I have a note that we had a moose sighting on October 27, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Katmai time. Why I would be so clear on a moose note and not the specific time Otis was on cam… your guess is as good as mine. But I do love the moose! 😀

Our eyes will stay peeled and until tomorrow, sending Wishes for Fish and, gosh darn it, Sunshiny Days for those solar batteries we *love* and *adore* and won’t curse for even a minute. 😉 Think good thoughts, folks! ♥
