Otis Fishing Report NOTE for September 16, 2023: We reported yesterday that the last sighting *we* could find of Otis was 7:45 p.m. Katmai time September 12 in the Lower River and snapped by Ileana-Explores.
We also asked for evidence of later sightings, if they existed, for a correct record, and Goldilocks,Canada came in with the receipts! This image of I’d bet real money is Otis was captured September 13 in the Lower River between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. Katmai time.
Based on that, we’re updating the record to reflect that Otis most recent sighting was September 13 and not September 12… for now.
SheHikes posted that a photographer — jwkimages — posted THIS photo of Otis on Instagram on September 15. Unsure whether the photo was taken that date or earlier and/or where it was taken. We’ve reached out to the photog and hope to have an update soon! Thanks for the heads up, SheHikes!
And until/unless we find more receipts, we’re sending out wishes for fishes and sweet berry dreams! ♥
