Otis Fishing Report UPDATE for October 1, 2023: About 4:15 p.m. Katmai time yesterday, Otis left Up the Fish Ladder, headed toward the back of the Falls, and disappeared from the would-be Paparazzi snapping their snaps.

Since then, we’ve not seen (floppy) ear nor tail of him. That’s not to say he’s not fishing; only to say he’s not been doing it on cam or we couldn’t ID him in the dark.

So the October 1 fish count stands at 2 Wiggling Fish + 1 Probable Fish that Probably Wiggled (at some time in its life) + 17 DOAs.

We’ll be back later with today’s Otis meanderings, and until then, sending those Wishes for Fishes and another beautiful Sunshiny Day! ♥

The Rock Climbing Adventures of Otis continued yesterday, as he visited Alice’s Restaurant and had a difficult time finding a server to take his order. 😉 Kidding aside, it was a fabulous moment in time and so good to see our boy looking fit and fat, while surveying the Kingdom of Katmai! In other news, Otis chewed his way through the River and Falls yesterday. Here Otis enjoys a live… errr… previously live fish — with a wiggle! This GIF also captured by SuspectCelery on Brooks Falls cam.
