Otis Fishing Report UPDATE for August 16, 2023
When last we left you, Otis was still napping behind the Platform. Otis left for naps a hair after 10:30 a.m. It appears that he returns 12.5 hours later about 11:00 p.m. We say “appears that he returns” because this bear approaches from the Platform side where Otis was last seen exiting, and it’s about the time we’d expect him after a long nap.
But what’s not quite hitting right is that this bear pounces somewhere between the Kiddie Pool and J and heads into the J a moment. It’s not unusual for Otis to fish in the Jacuzzi, but not usually on his way to his Office from naps. This shadow of a bear then walks to and through the Conveyor and goes to the Office on Brooks Falls Low.
We catch a glimpse of the Office from Brooks Falls, and yup. It sure looks like Otis back there with timing which correlates to Pouncing Bear. So it would appear that Otis is refreshed as a Spring Cub who’s just learned what a tasty sockeye salmon is! There’s just something different about you tonight, Otis! ♥
Grazer was in the Office on Otis arrival, and she’s apparently not up for the chitter chatter thing today — she steps aside and let’s Otis have it. (Awww!)
A few minutes later in his Office and on Brooks Falls cam, Otis catches this whopper. He takes one sniff and releases.
A minute after that, he walks to the Boulder and snags another. Back to his Office. Back to the Boulder — another fish! Back to his Office. Back to the Boulder — FISH!
Unexpectedly, he leaves his Office. Our CamOp traces him to the Jacuzzi, where he hangs a minute, and then just as the clock strikes midnight, he’s walking back into his Office.
Updated count for August 16 is 22 Fish + 1 High-Grade + 1 Sniff!
More later! Meanwhile, sending wishes for fishes and a sunshiny day! ♥
