Otis Fishing Mini-Report for August 4, 2023
For the first time in a week, I sat down to dinner away from a keyboard. That naturally means King Otis graced us with his presence within 2 minutes of my doing so! 🙂 (I’m seeing a trend here…)
About 3:45 p.m. Katmai time, Otis arrives from the Platform side of the Falls, as though he was completely unaware that every other post in chat for the last five days was asking for him! 😉
Otis arrives following his 5-day Mini-Vaca (Brooks Falls Cam):
Arrival on Brooks Falls Low Cam:
He wastes no time spotting his empty Office and waltzes right over to take his rightful place on Brooks Falls cam. A short bit later, there’s an Intruder Alert — 151 Walker is throwing his (considerable) weight around and, being the chill guy he is, Otis shifts to Wallflower’s Wall.
Otis does get another chance at his Office and is shifted again… seeing no fish, it’s not much worth his bother, and he heads toward Alice’s to see what’s on the menu today. Unfortunately, there ain’t no early bird special, so he heads toward the J Rock. He’s there a few minutes with no better luck and considers his options while hanging out behind the J.
He decides daylight is better spent at snoozles (probably) and heads off the same way he came on Brooks Falls Low Cam — like his mini-vaca never even happened (maybe WE are the ones who missed HIM?).
The Fish Count remains at 0, but we all know Otis is the most Dedicated Zennist Night Fisherbear at the Falls, and I would bet real money he’ll show up again in a couple hours.
Wishes for fishes upon his return! ♥
