Otis Fishing Report Addendum for August 5, 2023
CORRECTION: Okay, so… we erred earlier because, well… as usual, clock math. 🙂 (You can imagine the disaster I am when we have to “spring forward” and “fall back”!) Otis did, in fact, arrive from much-deserved naps while the calendar was still on August 5 — it was 1:15 a.m. my time, so when we use math as intended, behold, it’s 9:15 p.m. Katmai time. After writing it all out for today, I realized the error of my ways. 😀
Otis Fishing Report Addendum for August 5, 2023: The Salmony Wanderlust still strong in him, Otis scopes out the situation and tries a couple spots. Behind the J earned some scraps. Alice’s, the Sandbar, the Jacuzzi, and a little Meander Fishing, and not so much luck. Once again, Otis illustrates his new Rock Standing skillz on Brooks Falls Cam.
And we’re treated to this iconic imagery of Otis at Alice’s Restaurant (also Brooks Falls cam).
From Riffles cam, we get a glimpse of Otis re-assessing the situation and showing us his immutable patience.
A few minutes after 11:00 p.m., Otis reaches the Promised Land: His Office. Four minutes later, FISH! Took a bit longer for fish two, but it did arrive, as we can see here on Brooks Falls cam:
And then we total August 5, 2023 Fish at 19 + 2 Scraps and NOW, at midnight *Katmai* time, we turn the calendar to August 6.
Phew. Please don’t let me revisit the last 48 hours again! 😀
