Otis Fishing Not-A-Report for October 10, 2023: Day 5, Katmai Log since Otis’ last appearance on October 5. We had a special episode of Not-A-Report Report planned for today, and time just got away from us… and you know we like our snoozles about as much as Otis, so we’ll shoot for that again tomorrow. 😉
No sightings of Otis on Riffles, Brooks Falls, or Kat’s River View (that we’re aware), but *lots* of sightings in our imagination, yeah? (Mine made up for it, if yours didn’t perform!) It seems the Magical Portal Ride has taken Otis to better fishing grounds, though we’re still hopeful that he may do a Meander By before cams shut down… cross your paws and throw some salt over your shoulder or something like that, okay?
As Otis was unable to appear at the awards ceremony tonight, he did send his Fat Congrats to 2023’s Fat Bear Champ 128 Grazer. In his pre-recorded message, he was seen here chitter chattering with the new champ and asking her, in the nicest possible way to, “GET OFF MY LAWN!” He also mentioned that he’s glad he doesn’t have to deal with all the media hype — chitter chatter is just NOT his baliwick. 😉 (Snap from August 21, 2023, Brooks Falls cam)
We’ll be here (and Riffles, and Brooks Falls, and Kat’s River View) again tomorrow with our eyes peeled for Otis. And until we meet again, sending Wishes for Fishes and Fat Bear Wishes to all the contestants in this year’s showdown! ♥

Thank you — truly thank you — for your comment. My goal has been to bring positivity to the chat when people were worried. It’s not that I didn’t also worry, but worry does no good. So I tried to shine a light on the good. I appreciate so much that you believe I did that. I’m not giving up hope of seeing Otis this season. In 2021, Otis also returned on July 26, went to the lair on October 23-24. Maybe this year he will still please us. I cross my paws.✊

Oh, that’s weird — we have trackbacks set to alert us when someone shares a link to the site, so we can say thank you or reciprocate, and I have seen any. Is the group private? Perhaps that’s the reason we’re not getting notifications.
